Museum of the buttons
The different sections of the museum describe Italy’s political, social and fashion history in the 1900’s, with reference to world history as well, through changes of material and style: buttons of the Belle Époque, wooden buttons of the 1930’s as well as fashionable “jewellery” buttons of the sixties. The collection also boasts extraordinary unique buttons, such as the ones used by Louis XIV, the Sun King, or by the Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti when she was in space.
