The event, which takes place over two days, is dedicated to the main product of Italian tables. A trip to the ancient ovens is planned to learn about lost traditions and flavors. Maiolo, in the Rimini hinterland, is best known for its distinctive bread, made with local flours and using traditional methods, which is celebrated with this festival, during which the ovens of the village are lit and the products are distributed to participants. A large museum is also dedicated to bread, with about fifty ovens scattered throughout the area dating back to the early nineteenth century, about ten of which are active and functioning for ancient and traditional bread-making, witnesses of the local peasant culture. The country still has its borgate, its old country houses, and its squares, and it is famous for the historic Rocca di Maioletto, from which a spectacular view can be seen.
